LeRoy Clayton Ingersoll, age 67, of Ripon, WI, died Thursday, May 1, 1997, at his home.

He was born June 16, 1929, at Rock Creek, WI, a son of the late Ralph and Edna (Stewart) Ingersoll. He was a graduate of Menomonee High School. LeRoy has lived in Ripon since 1949, and had been employed with Chicago Northwestern Railroad for 42 years. LeRoy married the former Dolores A. Keplin on May 25, 1952. He was a member of Order of Railroad Telegrapher and Telegraph Operators, and a member of the Assembly of God Church in Ripon.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores; two daughters, Sue (Mike) Foster of Springfield, MO and Peggy (Bernie) Cavallaro of Sunrise, FL; three grandchildren, Jereme, Tyler and Kaitlin Foster; one brother-in-law, Delwin Admondson of Baldwin, WI; numerous other relatives, nieces, nephews and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.

Funeral service will be Monday, May 5, 1997, at 11 am at the Assembly of God Church in Ripon with the Reverend Donald Deike officiating.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 4, 1997, from 4 until 8 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon and again on Monday from 10 am until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
