Mr. Leslie J. Hartman, age 79, of Ripon, passed away on Friday, March 8, 1991, at Ripon Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 14, 1911, in Oconto Falls, a son to Joseph and Phoebe Morgason Hartman. On March 9, 1938, he married Doris Thiel in Ripon.
Mr. Harman had lived in the Ripon area most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army and had been a member of the Wisconsin National Guard. He farmed and worked at Speed Queen, retiring in 1972. He also worked at the Ripon Post Office and the Ripon Co-op. He and his wife liked to travel and they wintered in Arizona.
Survivors include his wife, Doris; eight children: Sharon (Gene) Miller of Ripon; Dennis (Lynne) of Green Lake; Gary of Fond du Lac; Linda (Jim) Revels of Dalton; Gayle (Gordy) Walker of Cambria; Susan Kapp of Berlin; Connie (Martin) Ernser of Ripon; and Tamara (Tom) Mueller of Ripon; twenty grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Roger Kapp, one sister, Marcella and his parents.
Funeral Services for Mr. Hartman will be held Monday, March 11, 1991, at 1:00 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. The Reverend C.S. Hollerup will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. Friends may call Sunday, March 10, 1991, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial has been established in his name.
