Leslie (Les) A. Ninneman, age 87 of Ripon, passed away Friday morning March 3, 2006, at Ripon Medical Center.
He was born June 11, 1918 in the Town of Nepeuskun, a son to Walter and Ida (Steinberg) Ninneman. On November 20, 1941, he married Mary Hope Young in Milwaukee. He was employed at Speed Queen in Ripon and farmed in Green Lake County. He retired from Realist in Berlin in 1984. During his retired years, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, woodworking and working with Jay Clarke Auction Service. He was a member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon.
Leslie is survived by his daughter, Sally (Jerome) Gehrke, Oshkosh; his son, Lee (Vicki) Ninneman of Appleton; granddaughter Kelly Markofski and special friend, Brad Wright; great-granddaughters, Morganne Leigh and Nicole Jean Markofski; sisters Frieda Nechkash and Laura Ragenoski; special niece, Mary Nennig and other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary of 63 years, on July 20, 2005; his parents; brothers, Harry, Robert and Paul Ninneman; and sisters Louella, Alice, and Marie.
Funeral services for Leslie A. Ninneman will be held Monday, March 6, 2006, at 11:00 a.m., at Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon, with the Reverend Mark R. West officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 5, 2006, from 4-7 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, and on Monday, March 6, 2006, from 10 11 a.m. at Our Saviours United Church of Christ. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in the City of Ripon. A memorial has been established.
