Leslie R. Smith, age 61, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 1984, in Berlin Memorial Hospital.
Leslie was born April 24, 1923, in Pardeeville, WI, the son of Ralph and Evangeline (Leghorn) Smith. He served our country in the United States Army during WWII. He married Helen Bunkelman on May 22, 1949. Leslie worked as a postal worker. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake and a member of American Legion Post #306 of Green Lake.
Survivors include his wife, Helen; one daughter, Patty (Paul) Loberg of Green Lake, WI; one son, Thomas Smith of Waukesha, WI; one brother, Randall Smith of Las Cruces, NM; one sister, Barbara Doherty of Hartford, WI; four grandchildren and one uncle, John Leghorn of Waukesha, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation for Leslie will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 1984, from 5 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Leslie will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 1984, at 1:30 pm at Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake with Reverend Rodney Dietsche officiating. Interment will follow at Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake. A memorial has been established.
