Lester Malzhan, age 63, of Berlin, WI, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014, at Patriot Place in Berlin.
He was born March 26, 1950, in Fond du Lac, the son of Vernard and Ruth (Dahlke) Malzhan. Lester graduated from Ripon High School in 1969, and he fought for our country in the United States Army stationed in Vietnam from December of 1970 to December of 1971. He worked as a fork lift driver at Magnum Power Products in Berlin where he had been employed since January of 1999. Lester was an avid football fan; he would watch any and every team he could find on television. He especially loved to watch and listen to the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. Lester also enjoyed annual hunting with his family and friends.
Survivors include, his mother Ruth Malzhan of Ripon; sister Margie Walker (Roger Washkovick) of Ripon, sister Karen (John) Rohr of Waunakee, brother Karlon Malzhan of Ripon, brother Eugene Malzhan of Green Lake, brother Roger (Shari) Malzhan of Berlin, brother Dale Malzhan of Berlin, sister Jayne Malzhan of Ripon, brother Wayne Malzhan of Ripon, sister Janet (Dennis) Darnick of Ripon; nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, Sheryl (Kenneth) Hable, Terry (Marjean) Gable, Kerry Gable, Suzanne (Randy) McCoy, their children Travis and Breanna McCoy, Melissa (Jason) Jacobson, Christopher (Kieu Truong) Thomas, son Hernseen Thomas, Danielle Malzhan, Michael (Amy) Malzhan, Brian Malzhan, Tammy (Wayne Williams) Steeps, son Shane Engelhardt, Rebecca Darnick, Rachel (Jeremy) Liggett, daughter Amalia Liggett, and Angela Darnick; numerous aunts, uncles, and their families. He was preceded in death by his father Vernard; brother Gary; and brother-in-law Jim Walker.
Visitation for Lester Malzhan will be held Saturday, January 25, 2014, from 9:00 11:00 a.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Drive, Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral services for Lester Malzhan will be held Saturday, January 25, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. Reverend Gary Miller will officiate. Interment will follow at Rosendale Cemetery, Village of Rosendale with full military honors. A memorial is being established.
