Lester H. Prellwitz, age 78, a long time resident of rural Rush Lake, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 1995 at home.
Mr. Prellwitz was born December 10, 1916 in Markesan Wisconsin, the son of William and Jessie (Zank) Prellwitz. He was a member of the class of 1934 of Ripon Senior High School. Lester was united in marriage to Marguerite (Prellwitz) Prellwitz on March 6, 1943. He farmed for over 40 years in the Rush Lake area, retiring due to illness in 1975. Mr. Prellwitz also served as clerk of the Rush Lake school board during the construction of Wayside Elementary school in the late 1950s. He was a member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ, Ripon and its Church council, ushers club, and Dartball league.
He is survived by his wife, Marguerite; three Sons; Dale (Kathryn), and Lee both of Ripon, and Dwain (Thora) of Malta, Montana. Two grandchildren Marc, of Ripon and Kelsey, of Malta, Montana. Lester is also survived by Two sisters; Dorothy (Walter) Walker, Of Kingston, and Ann (Carl) Yerk of Ripon, and many nieces; nephews, brotherinlaw, sisterin law, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services for the late Lester H. Prellwitz will be at 11 A.M. Wednesday, August 16, 1995 at Our Saviours United Church of Christ of Ripon. The Reverend Eric Burnard will officiate and interment will follow at Nepeuskun Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 until 8 P.M. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home and Wednesday 10 A.M. until the time of the service at the church.
