Lila Spielvogel Rayback, 89, of Ripon, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh.
Lila was born to George and Esther (Daehn) Spielvogel on May 21, 1917 in Fond du Lac County. She attended Brandon Schools and graduated from Brandon High School in 1936. Lila married Alfred Rayback in Brandon. Lila and Alfred farmed and then lived in the Brandon area. Lila was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Brandon. Lila worked at Parkview Nursing Home in Ripon for 26 years. Lila was a beloved aunt and faithful correspondent to family and friends. She enjoyed playing the organ, playing cards, and playing bingo.
Survivors include her sisters, Myrtle (Melford) Sorensen of Ripon, and Irma Habel of Sun City, AZ, and by three sisters-in-law, Irma Spielvogel of Ripon, Fern Sampson of Brownsville, and Betty Spielvogel of Shawano. Lila is also survived by three nephews, seven nieces, and grand and great-grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her Husband Alfred in 1981, and her three brothers, Floyd, George (Esther) and Myron Spielvogel.
Visitation for Lila H. Rayback will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 from 1-2 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Services for Lila H. Rayback will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with the Reverend Stuart Dornfeld officiating. Interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery, in the Village of Brandon, where there will be a short graveside service.
