Lillian "Lil" Milbrandt

Lillian “Lil” Grace Milbrandt, age 81, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016, at her home.
Lil was born February 7, 1935, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of James and Jessie (Grencik) Petrak. She graduated from high school and went on to further her education. Lil received her Master’s degree from Notre Dame in teaching. She joined the nunnery and upon meeting James Carlton Milbrandt she left the convent and married James on September 23, 1972 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon where she attended church. Lil was a member of Kiwanis International and Ripon Early Bird Kiwanis.
Survivors include her two sons, James (Tracey Garb) Milbrandt of Ripon, WI and Jon Milbrandt of Hastings, MN; two granddaughters, Destiny and Jamie Milbrandt both of Port Washington, WI. Lil is further survived by four sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Jessie; brother, Mark Petrak; husband, James and brother, Joe.
Visitation for Lil will be held on Monday, October 3, 2016, from 4 – 7:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971 and again on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, from 10 – 11:00 am at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 430 W. Griswold St., Ripon, WI 54971.
Funeral Service for Lil will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at 11:00 am at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon. Reverend Clay R. Salmela will officiate. Interment will follow at Garden of the Cross Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial is being established in her name.
