Lillian Schneider, age 94, Ripon, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at Markesan Resident Home, Inc.
She was born June 26, 1911 in Green Lake County, a daughter to William F. and Ida (Weiss) Hielke. She was educated in Markesan Schools and Oshkosh Business College. On June 26, 1936, Lillian married J. Edward Schneider in Green Lake County. She worked as the Assistant Credit Manager at Ripon Foods. Lillian enjoyed many activities including sewing, cooking, crafts, and her dog Winnie. She was also an avid bridge player. She was a 50 year member of Eastern Star and belonged to Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ. Lillian had a life time love of reading and books. In her honor, memorials to the Ripon Public Library would be appreciated.
Lillian is survived by 2 daughters, Cynthia Schneider, Ripon, and Kathlene (Ray) Mattison, Amberg, WI; 1 sister, Elda Bloch, Ripon; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Hielke of Ripon. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.Edward; daughter, Sandra Dunn; son, Scott Schneider; parents; sister, Clare Flegel; and brother, William Hielke.
Eastern Star funeral services for Lillian Schneider will be held Monday, April 3, 2006, at 6:00 p.m., at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday, April 3, 2006, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home. Private family interment will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at Woodlawn Cemetery in the City of Ripon.
