Lillie E. Abel, age 91, of Parkview Care Center, in Ripon, WI, died Tuesday, December 24, 1996, at Ripon Medical Center.
She was born January 31, 1905, in the Town of Ripon, the daughter of Herman and Johanna Rupnow Prellwitz. She married Herbert Abel on November 22, 1933, and he preceded her in death on January 1972. Lillie was a homemaker, and was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon and the Women’s Guild, was a former member of the Altar Guild. She also was a member of the Lakeshore Homemakers Club.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Radene Abel of Ripon; four grandsons, one step-granddaughter; one step-grandson and two great-granddaughters. She is further survived by two sisters-in-law, Frieda Etrick and Jean (Mike) Resop, all of Berlin. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Funeral services will be Thursday, December 26, 1996, at 1 pm at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon with Reverend James D. Mohr officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 26, 1996, from 11 am until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in Garden of the Cross Cemetery in Ripon.
