Lillie Meyerholtz age 90, formerly of Fremont, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2002, at her daughters home in Riverdale, GA where she has resided since October of 2000.
Lillie Barbara Wesner was born June 8, 1911, in the Town of Nepeuskun to Fred and Otillia (Weiss) Wesner. She was the ninth child of fourteen with ten brothers and three sisters. On June 8, 1933, she married the boy next door, Henry William Meyerholtz. They were married in Waukegan, IL, and then resided at three different farms in Ripon, Green Lake and Fremont areas during their 61 years of marriage. She was a practical nurse and homemaker who especially enjoyed gardening and baking. She also loved to travel. Henry preceded her in death on February 7, 1994.
Lillie is survived by three brothers: Herb Wesner of Ripon, Arnie Wesner of Oshkosh, and Leonard Wesner of Oshkosh; her children: Isabel Meyerholtz of Riverdale, GA, Barbara White of Pensacola, FL, Beatrice Briggs of Denver, CO, Rachel Kemberling of Riverdale, GA, Delilah Briggs of Boulder, CO, and Bill Meyerholtz of Wilmington, DE; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Drive in Ripon, from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 14. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 a. m. on Friday, March 15, 2002 with Pastor Loren Nelson officiating. Interment will be at the Bluffton Cemetery, Town of Brooklyn, Green Lake Co.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Portsbridge Hospice, 1334 Lake Ridge Parkway, Riverdale, GA 30296 in the name of Lillie Meyerholtz.
