Linda M. Schieler, age 55, of 425 Melanie Lane, Ripon, died Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at Ripon Medical Center.
She was born October 31, 1947, in Ripon, the daughter of Donald and Dorothy (Putnam) Ryerson. Linda graduated from Ripon High School and UW-Oshkosh, and had been a teacher’s aide and forensic coach at Ripon Senior High School for many years. She was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon, the church choir, and was chairman of the Stewardship Committee. On August 8, 1970, she married Peter Schieler in Ripon.
Survivors include her husband, Peter Schieler; 2 daughters, Lea Salas (Joaquin) of IL and Dawn Grey (Keith) of Plymouth; 4 grandchildren, Sarah and Alaina Salas, and Brendan and Kieran Grey; parents, Donald and Dorothy Ryerson of Ripon; brother, James Ryerson (Debbie) of Ripon; and grandmother, Versie Schlinske of Ripon.
Funeral service for Linda M. Schieler will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2003, at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ with the Reverends Margaret G. Richardson Zedan and Mark R. West officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, and again on Saturday from 9-10 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Garden of the Cross Cemetery, Ripon. A memorial has been established.
