Lisa Leavitt, age 37, of West Bend, WI, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2010, in Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Milwaukee, WI.
Lisa was born on July 9, 1972, in Ripon, the daughter of Ronald and Janice (Junior) Novitske. She graduated from Ripon High School and went on to University of Indiana, at Evansville, IN, for four years. Lisa majored in History with a minor in Japanese. She taught English in the Japanese School system, for pre-school through the 8th grade, as well as conversational English for adult classes.
Lisa married Thomas Leavitt in the year 2000. She was a loving, caring and gentle wife, mother, daughter, and sister. Lisa will be remembered for her intelligence, gentle caring ways and her beautiful smile.
Survivors include her parents, Ronald and Janice, of Ripon; three children, Carolyn, Faith, and Ronyah all of West Bend; three step-children, Elizabeth, Rachel (Jessie Gall), and Emily; and one step-grandchild, Lilly; all of West Bend; one brother, Michael (Barbara) Novitske of Spokane, WA; one sister, Laura (DuWayne) Polcyn of Ripon; four nephews, Matt Novitske, Jason, Casey and Gabriel Polcyn; her mother-in-law, Faith Heise of Florida; and aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; nephew, Simon Polcyn, and her grandparents.
A Celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2010, from 1 to 4:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. Per the families wishes there will no memorial service held. Memorials may be given for the future education of her daughters.
