Lloyd Prellwitz, age 83, of Parkview Care Center in Ripon, died Friday, October 26, 2001.
Lloyd was born June 10, 1918, in the Town of Ripon, a son to Herman and Laura (Zasada) Prellwitz. He graduated from Ripon High School and in 1940, married Ardis Abendroth. He farmed in the Markesan area, near Center House, until 1962. He then was employed at Ripon Good Cookies in the mixing room. Lloyd was a long time resident of the Markesan area. He was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon.
Survivors include two sons, Darwin “Foot” and (Carol) Prellwitz of Ripon and Raniel (Shiela) Prellwitz of Arlington, TX; one daughter, Gloria (The Rev. Rick) Grams of Redwing, MN; eight grandchildren, James, Gene (Carrie Joe), Jennifer, Raniel Dean, Ryan, Jessica, Michael and Jason. Four Great-grandchildren; Amber, Amanda, Brittany and Alexa. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Ardis in 1993.
Friends may call on Sunday, October 28, 2001, from 5 – 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. Services will be held on Monday, October 29, 2001, at 11:00 am at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Reverend Gerald Schrankler will officiate. Interment will be at Markesan Memorial Cemetery in the City of Markesan. A memorial has been established.
