Lloyd D. Smith, age 75, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 1993, at Berlin Memorial Hospital.
He was born on July 22, 1918, in Auburndale, the son of Herman and Emma (Kotlow) Smith. He married Marcella Mellenthin on July 21, 1937. They have made their home in Ripon since 1957. Lloyd farmed, and was also owner and operator of Smith Whitewashing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Lloyd Jr of Green Lake, Jerrold (Mary Jo) of Green Lake, LeRoy of Redgranite and Howard of Ripon; one daughter, JoAnn (John) Strandell of Ripon; fifteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Lyle of Ripon and Laverne of Arrowhead, CA.
Funeral services for Lloyd D. Smith will be held on Friday, September 3, 1993, at 1:30 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. The Reverend Bryan Fritsch will officiate. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established in his name for the Ripon Hospital Emergency Room Fund.
