Lloyd Switalski

Lloyd Henry “Polock” Switalski, age 69, of 453 Hill St., Green Lake, died Tuesday afternoon, June 4, 2002, at his home.

He was born December 31, 1932, in Milwaukee, a son to Edward and Lorene (Schaefer) Switalski. He was a 1951 graduate of Pulaski High School. On April 27, 1953, he joined the U.S. Army and served in the Military Police in Korea, and was honorably discharged on April 22, 1955. On February 4, 1956, he married Nancy Lou Cain in Green Lake. Lloyd was a retired construction worker. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Green Lake and the American Legion Post #306. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, and being with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Cain Switalski of Green Lake; 2 daughters, Shari Lynn (Jeff) Powers of Fond du Lac and Lorene Ann (Bill) Kinas of Green Lake; 5 grandchildren, Tim Powers, A.J. Powers, Joey Powers, Ben Kinas and Katelynn Kinas; brother, Robert (Vera) Switalski; sister, Millie (John) Putzi; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Marian.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2002, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Father Philip Krogman officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the mass. Memorials to either Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society.
