Lois Ann Murphy, age 49, of Ripon, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, December 26, 2000, at Ripon Medical Center.
She was born September 18, 1951, in Ripon where she lived all of her life, a daughter to Frank and Beverly (Batson) Hansen. Lois was a graduate of Ripon Senior High School. On January 20, 1978, she married Paul Murphy in Ripon. For 13 years she worked at Precision Metalsmiths in Markesan. Lois took pleasure in working with her hands doing crochet and cross stitch. She also looked forward to, and enjoyed their yearly visits to Disney World in FL. Lois really delighted in her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Paul of Ripon; stepchildren, Agnes Grannie B Batson and her mother-in-law Frances Murphy.
Funeral service for Lois Ann Murphy will be Saturday, December 30, 2000, at 3 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon with Pastor Eric Burnard officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home. lnurnment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon. A memorial has been established.
It was her wish that upon her death, anatomical body parts be donated. Lois was always very proud to know that she would be helping othersTom Murphy of Oshkosh, Ann (Clay) Prickette of Green Bay, and Pam (Vaughn) Obry of Neenah; grandchildren, Dalton and Pierce Prickette, Dylan Murphy, and Taylor Frances Obry; and her parents, Frank Hansen of Claremont, FL, and Beverly Hansen of Ripon. She is further survived by her sisters and brothers, Barbara (Jay) ONeil of Van Dyne, James (Michel) Hansen of Berlin, Howard (Jane) Hansen, Brian Hansen, and Veronica Hansen, all of Ripon; nieces and nephews, a godson, Ryan ONeil, Amanda ONeil, Casey & Bear Hansen, Chad & Mia Hansen, and Zachary Hansen; and special friends, Dora Murphy of Oshkosh and Betty Pollesch of Manchester. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Agnes Hansen.
