Lois E. Stindt, age 81, of Markesan, WI, formerly of Fairwater, WI, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2012, at Markesan Resident Home.
Lois was born October 31, 1930, in Rosendale, WI, the daughter of Harold and Ella (Gauger) Wustrack. She graduated from Rosendale High School and attended Wartburg College in Waverly, IA. On February 14, 1953, Lois married Eugene F. Stindt at St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Rogersville, WI. Lois was a homemaker, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family. She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Fairwater, WI, where she was the past President of the ZLCW, active in the Sunday School as Superintendent and a teacher for many years, including directing the Children’s Christmas Pageant. Lois belonged to various clubs including the 500 Card Club, the Neighborhood Ladies Birthday Club and the Lois Club.
Survivors include her children, Dan (Karen) Stindt of Fairwater, WI, Dean (Barb) Stindt of Norwood, CO, Janet (special friend, Dave Gallops) Vossekuil of Green Lake, WI, Kathy (Keith) Schwandt of Fairwater, WI, Patti Thorson of Ripon, WI, and Jeff (Allison) Stindt of Neenah, WI; grandchildren, Christopher (Anna) Stindt, Matt (fiancé Chelsea) Stindt, Melissa Stindt, Nate, Brooklyn and Lindsay Stindt, Ellen (Paul) Gallagher, Michael Vossekuil, Tracy and Eric Schwandt, Rachel, Ashley, and Nicole Thorson, Olivia and Isabella Stindt; and three great-grandchildren. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband Eugene and brother Robert Wustrack.
Visitation for Lois Stindt will be held Friday, October 26, 2012, from 4-7 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI, 54971 and again on Saturday, October 27, 2012, from 10-11 am at Zion Lutheran Church, 100 Church St., Fairwater, WI 53931.
Funeral Service for Lois Stindt will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012, at 11 am, at Zion Lutheran Church in Fairwater. Reverend Rick Engen will officiate. A private family inurnment will follow at a later date.
