Lois Jean Watson, age 85, formerly of the Town of Brooklyn, died April 26, 2003, at the Markesan Resident Home in Markesan.
She was born March 10, 1918, in Elgin, IL, the daughter of Frank W. and Maizie (Sorenson) Leach. She graduated from High School in Elgin. On September 23, 1939, she married George Samuel Watson, and they lived in Elgin prior to moving to Green Lake. Lois was bookkeeper and watch assembler at Elgin Watch Company in Elgin.
Survivors include 1 sister, Iris Ackermann of Elgin; 1 niece, 1 nephew and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband on June 2, 2000.
Funeral service for Lois Jean Watson will be at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon on Wednesday, April 30, 2003, at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Karen Gygax-Rodriguez officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. A memorial has been established.
