Lola Lueck

Lola B. Lueck, 91, of Ripon, WI, died July 27, 1995, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon where she resided the past one and half years.

She was born March 26, 1904, in Oshkosh, a daughter to the late John and Minna Meilahn Boettcher. She attended schools in Ripon and was a graduate of Ripon College. Lola taught English and Social Studies in Shell Lake and Bloomer until moving to Ripon in 1933, where she married Carleton Lueck on August 8, 1933. She taught in Ripon Middle School from 1949 to 1969. Mrs. Lueck was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon where she taught Sunday school, sang in the church choir, was a member of the Alter Guild and Reading Circle. She also was a member of the A.A.U.W., National & Wisconsin Retired Teachers Association, Order of the Eastern Star, A.A.R.P. and Veterans of Middle School.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Lueck of Oshkosh; one son, John (Barbara) Lueck of Fort Collins, CO; and two grandchildren, William (Jill) Lueck of Richmond, VA and Elizabeth Lueck of Fort Collins, CO. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carleton and one sister, Elva Boettcher.

A memorial service for the late Lola B. Lueck will be 2 pm, Monday, July 31, 1995, at the Chapel of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. Reverend Eric Burnard will officiate. Inurnment will be in Hillside Cemetery in Ripon.

There will be no visitation. The family will receive friends after the memorial service at the church. A memorial has been established.
