Lola Mary Paap, age 88, of Green Lake, passed away, Sunday, August 17, 2008, at Berlin Memorial Hospital, Berlin.
Lola was born in Racine, WI, on September 1, 1919, the daughter of Bennett and Marie (Christopherson) Ashley. She graduated from Washington Park High School in Racine. Lola married Robert L. Paap in Detroit, Michigan in 1945. Lola was a very active member of Atonement Lutheran Church in Racine before moving to Green Lake, and was a member of the Ripon Women’s Club, the Federated Church of Green Lake, and the Federated Church Women’s Club.
Survivors include her three children, Robert A. (Melissa) Paap of Zanesville, OH, Suzanne M. (Brad) Ruth of Green Lake, WI, and Katherine A. Hanson of Rochester, MN; seven grandchildren, Jami (Kendall) Morris of Hagerstown, MD, Liza Paap of Scranton, PA, Sarah Ruth of Wisconsin Dells, WI, Jesse (Amy) Ruth of Portland, OR, Steven Hanson of St. Paul, MN, Jennifer (Michel Rozenfeld) Hanson of Minneapolis, MN, and Arron Kent of Bowling Green, OH; four great-grandchildren, Kaleb Morris, Molly Morris, Asa Rozenfeld and Chloe Ruth. Lola was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert L. Paap.
Visitation for Lola Mary Paap will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at the Federated Church of Green Lake, Green Lake, WI.
A Memorial Service for Lola Mary Paap will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at the Federated Church of Green Lake with Reverend Karen Gygax Rodriguez officiating. Inurnment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park in Racine at a later date. A memorial has been established in her name.
