Lorand Fred Schultz, age 67, of Green Lake, WI, passed away on Monday, September 23, 1985, in Ashtabula, Ohio.
Lorand was born February 10, 1918, in the Town of Marquette, WI, the son of Fred and Lydia (Stibb) Schultz. He was educated in Ripon. Lorand served our country in the United States Army during WWII from March of 1943 to August of 1945. On November 9, 1941, Lorand married Ruth Jahnke. He worked as a truck driver and former partner of Jahnke and Schultz in Ripon for 30 years and driver for March Transit of Oak Creek since 1976. Lorand was a member of Peace Lutheran Church of Green Lake and of the Willis-Chapel Post #306 American Legion of Green Lake.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; four sons, James, John and Joel all of Green Lake, WI and Jerry of Fond du Lac, WI; two daughters, Judith Hanson of Mazomanie and Janet Schultz of Green Lake, WI; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; one brother, Fred Schultz of Fond du Lac and one sister, Ruth Miller of Green Lake. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter and one brother.
Visitation for Lorand will be held on Thursday, September 26, 1985, from 4 9:00 pm with an American Legion Service at 7:30 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Lorand will be held on Friday, September 27, 1985, at 1:30 pm at Peace Lutheran Church with Reverend Rodney Dietsche officiating. Interment will follow at Dartford Cemetery in Green Lake. A memorial has been established for the church.
