Loretta Searl, age 86, of Ripon, died Tuesday afternoon, May 8, 2001, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon.
She was born September 25, 1914, in Fond du Lac, a daughter to Otto and Ann (Freanzen) Liebke. She received her education in Fond du Lac, and in 1933, she married Owen Searl in Fond du Lac. Loretta was a housewife, and for several years had been a floor lady at the Ripon Pickle Factory. Mrs. Searl was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon, the Ladies Aid, and a member of the Ripon VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Owen Searl of Ripon; children, Donald (Carla) Searl of Ripon, Bonnie (Franklin) Rozek of DePere and Wayne (Phyllis) Searl of Appleton; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 1 sister, Celcelcia Brown of Round Lake, IL; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother; and 1 sister.
Funeral service for Loretta Searl will be 11 a.m. on Friday, May 11, 2001, at Grace Lutheran Church, Ripon with Pastor Paul Holte officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, and again on Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Brandon Cemetery, Brandon. A memorial has been established.
