Lorine E. Ballard, age 89, formerly of Rosendale, passed away Thursday evening, November 1, 2001, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon.
She was born August 12, 1912, in the Town of Metomen, the daughter of Herman and Rosie (Nest) Borchardt. Lorine graduated from Rosendale High School. She later married Allen Elmer Ballard on October 21, 1931, and he passed away on January 28, 1981. Mrs. Ballard was a member of the United Church of Christ in Rosendale. She was retired from cooking at Family Bar for 23 years.
Survivors include one son, Charles (Anni) Ballard of Erie, CO; two daughters, Mrs. Dolores Kaliebe of Shawano and Mrs. Carol (Keith) Kottke of Oakfield; four grandchildren, Todd (Alicia) Ballard of Aurora, Colorado, Mark (Jackie) Kottke of Oakfield; five great-grandchildren, Allen, Sydney, Marissa, Joshua and Taylor; two sisters-in-law; one aunt; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allen in 1981; one daughter; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild and one son-in-law, Alton Kaliebe.
Funeral service for Lorine E. Ballard will be at 11 am on Tuesday, November 6, 2001, at the United Church of Christ in Rosendale with Pastor Laura Hawkins officiating. Visitation will be from 4 – 7:00 pm on Monday at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon and again on Tuesday from 10 am until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in Rosendale Cemetery.
