Lorraine Berndt, age 70, of Ripon died Tuesday, June 3, 1997, at Berlin Memorial Hospital.
She was born January 29, 1927, in Ripon, a daughter to Wilbert and Emma (Zarnot) Link. She attended Ripon Schools and was a graduate of Fond du Lac High School. On December 28, 1946, she married Melvin Berndt. Lorraine worked as a sewer and inspector at Admanco in Ripon. After retirement, she and Melvin moved to Neshkoro, and then moved back to Ripon in 1995. She attended Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon and was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
In addition to her husband, Melvin, she is survived by her mother, Emma Link of Ripon; 4 children, Steven (Luann) Berndt of Princeton, Debbie (Roger)
Boers of Ripon, Roxann (Ronald) Stracy of Ripon and John (Bonnie) Berndt of Ripon; 6 grandchildren; and I sister, Shirley (Fred) Dahlke of Ripon. She was preceded in death by her father in 1984.
Funeral service will be Thursday, June 5, 1997, at 5 PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon with Pastor Eric Burnard officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 until 4:45 PM at which time a V.F.W. Service will be held at the funeral home. lnurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ripon.
