Lorraine Hielsberg, 70, of 420 Pearl St. Ripon, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at Hospice Care Inc. in Fitchburg, WI.
Lorraine was born on December 4, 1932 in Ripon, the daughter of Henry and Frances (Seabul) Voight. She graduated from Ripon Senior High School, and on August 7, 1954 she married Karl S. Hielsberg in Ripon. She was a member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ, Ripon and worked there as the church custodian for 20 years, was in the church choir, Womens Guild, Craft Circle, Quilting Queens, Ripon Lioness Club, and helped at the election polls for several years. Lorraine also walked in the Relay for Life Annual Cancer Walk at Ripon College.
Survivors include two sons; Michael (Diane) Hielsberg of Davis Junction, IL, and Thomas (Lulu) Hielsberg of Temecula, CA, five grandchildren, one sister; Charlotte (Ken) Berndt of Overland Park, KS, and three nieces. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; Henry and Frances, and her husband, Karl.
Funeral services for Lorraine will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon with the Rev. Mark R. West and Rev. Harley C.W. Tretow officiating. Friends may call on Friday October 10, 2003 from 4-8 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the Church. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon. A memorial has been established in her name.
