Louis Greenebaum

Private services were held at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon for Louis J. Greenebaum, 93, of Green Lake who died on June 7, 1990.

He was born November 29, 1896, in Chicago, IL, a son to Jonas and Esther Nussbaum Greenebaum. On February 7, 1953, he married Louise McClure.

Mr. Greenebaum attended Lewis Institute of Technology in Chicago. He was one of the owners of Greenebaum Tannery of Chicago & Milwaukee and on behalf of the corporation received the Army & Navy E. Award for high achievement in the production of war materials. He was on the board of directors for Mount Sinai Hospital and Hynite Corporation in Milwaukee and was a member of the Milwaukee Athletic Club and the Wisconsin Club. He lived in Green Lake the last 35 years. He was a member of the Ripon Rotary Club and a member of the Shriners for over 65 years.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Donald and Louis Jr., both of Milwaukee, and Robert of Hartland; one daughter, Gail McEnroe of Houston, TX; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and one sister, Lorayne Friend of Palm Springs, CA. One brother and one sister preceded him in death.
