Louise M. Cory, age 91, of Ripon, formerly of 459 Scott St. Green Lake, passed away on October 18, 2007 from Colon Cancer, at Ripon Medical Center, Ripon.
Louise was born on August 18, 1916 on the family farm at Rt. 3 Ripon the daughter of Alfred and Elsie (Hein) Krause. She graduated from Ripon High School and in October 29, 1937 she married Lyle F. Cory in the parsonage of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, which is now Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon. Louise worked as a stitcher at the Advertisers in Ripon and then at Fabriko in Green Lake, she retired from there and became a housewife and mother. She was a member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon, the Womens Guild of the church, a Cub Scout Den Mother, and belonged to the Ripon and Green Lake Senior Citizen Centers. Past member of Ripon Hospital Auxiliary, Ripon Senior bowling league, Green Lake 20th Century Club, and the Green Lake Lioness Club.
Survivors include one son, Michael (Charleen) Cory of VA, two grandchildren; Farrah (Mark) Pomerenke of Oshkosh, WI, and Jody (Mark) Larson of Ripon, WI, two step-grandchildren; Christopher Carouse of Bowling Green, KY and Cameron Carouse of Nashville, TN, three great-grandchildren; Ethan Pomerenke, Sabra Cory-Larson, and Loki Larson, one sister, Ruby (Royden) Brunet of Fond du Lac, WI, one brother, Arthur (Delores) Krause of Ripon, WI, a sister-in-law, Patricia Krause of Ripon, nieces, nephews, and many friends and neighbors. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers; Lawrence Larry (Selma) Krause, Ardin (Margaret) Krause, Richard Dick Krause, one sister, Margie Prellwitz, and one brother-in-law, Philip Prellwitz.
Visitation for Louise M. Cory will be held on Monday, October 22, 2007 from 10-11:00 am at Our Saviours United Church of Christ Church in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Louise M. Cory will be held on Monday, October 22, 2007 at 11:00 am at Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon with Reverend Mark R. West officiating. Interment will follow in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake. A memorial has been established.
The family extends a special & sincere thanks to Dr. D. Nelson and Dr. R. Cholewa, the staff at Ripon Medical Center & Fountain View Care Center, and Gail the parish nurse for the great, compassionate and excellent care awarded to Louise to the very end.
