Louise Ruf, 78, formerly of Ripon, died May 18, 1994, at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, Fond du Lac.
She was born on November 1, 1915, in Chicago, a daughter to Christ and Anna (Franklin) Chudobba. She was educated in Chicago, and on September 3, 1937, she married George Ruf in Chicago. In 1957, they moved to Ripon. George died on December 11, 1978, and in 1980, Louise moved to Fond du Lac. Louise was a housewife and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ripon.
Survivors include one son, Thomas (Judy) Ruf of Sarasota, FL; four daughters, Marjorie Kremer of Fond du Lac, Colleen (Rick) Ziemba of Columbus, OH, Maureen (Tom) Schapira of Bristol, WI, and Kathy Ruf of Fond du Lac; 13 grandchildren; and one sister, Marguarette Chudobba of Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one son-in-law, Bill Kremer.
The family will receive friends from 10-11:30 am Friday at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon. A short family devotion will be held prior to the cortege departing for the church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12:00 noon on Friday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ripon. The Reverend John A. Schmitz will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Town of Ripon. A memorial has been established for the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home.
