Lucile Morton-Grams

June 12, 1910 — July 19, 2004

Lucile B. Mosling-Morton-Grams, age 94, of Ripon, WI, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Monday morning, July 19, 2004, at Ripon Medical Center.

She was born June 12, 1910, in Mosling, WI, the daughter of Bernhard A. and Helena Louisa (Rohloff) Mosling. Lucile graduated from Oshkosh High School and UW-Oshkosh, and was a teacher. In 1937, she married John Burnham Morton, and he passed away in July of 1970. She married Frank O. Grams in 1971, and he passed away in March 1980. Lucile lived in Oshkosh, Madison, Ripon and Winter Park, FL, where she was a member of P.E.O. Sisterhood, Grace Lutheran Church, AAUW, Lioness and the Green Lake Festival of Music. She also served on the Board of Trustees at Pace-Brantley Hall School in Longwood, FL.

Survivors include her children, John G. Morton of Ripon; daughter, Lynne H. McKnight (James A.) of Winter Park, FL, Ralph L. Morton (Patricia A.) of Ripon, and Paul M. Morton (Karen S.) of Neenah, stepdaughter, Judy Ann (Grams) Hirt (Harlan) of LaGrange, IL; brothers, Bernhard A. Mosling II of Jacksonville, FL, Ralph Mosling (Katherine) of Oshkosh and Donald P. Mosling (Agnes) of Minnesota; and sister, Ruth M. Elvig (Burton) of Minnesota. She is further survived by many grandchildren; step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren; step-great-great-grandchildren; nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; sister, Margaret M. Gerlat and Rheinhold Gerlat; sister-in-law, Montez Mosling; brother, John P. Mosling and sister-in-law, Jane.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, and Friday morning July 23, 2004, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Paul L. Holte officiating. Private family interment will be in the Omro Cemetery, Omro.
