Lucille Miller

October 25, 1922 — February 9, 2009

Lucille G. Miller, age 86, of Pickett, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2009, at Evergreen Retirement Community in Oshkosh.

Lucille was born in Fond du Lac, on October 25, 1922, the daughter of Herman and Nellie (Manske) Pommerich. She married Leland Miller in Pickett in 1942, and was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid, Pickett. Lucille was a homemaker and worked along side Leland on the farm.

Survivors include her husband Leland Miller of Pickett; one daughter, Nancy (Richard) Mucks of Pickett; three sons, David (Gail) Miller of Pickett; Bruce Miller of Pickett; and Jeff Miller of Pickett; seven grandchildren, Kristin (Thomas) Smits; Michelle (Blake) Reinke; Lisa, Angela, Joel, Ryan, and Alex Miller; four great-grandchildren, Aaron and Courtney Smits; and Emma and Claire Reinke; and several nieces and nephews. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and two sisters.

A special thank you from the family to Dr. Ammar Alzoubi, his nurse and staff at Aurora; and Pastor Russell W. Kloehn for his visits and prayers; to Evergreen Retirement Community and the Aurora Visiting Nurses for their loving care given to Lucille.

Visitation for Lucille Miller will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 13, 2009, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pickett.

Funeral service for Lucille Miller will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 13, 2009, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pickett, with Pastor Russell W. Kloehn officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Prairie Cemetery, Town of Utica. Memorials can be given to the American Diabetes Association, Milwaukee Office, 2323 N. Mayfair Road, Suite 502, Wauwatosa, WI 53226, or to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pickett.
