Lucille Helen Sukowaty, age 66, of 617 Melanie Lane, Ripon, died Thursday afternoon, June 13, 2002, at her home.
She was born November 16, 1935, in New Holstein, a daughter to Raymond and Helen (Heimmermann) Schneider. She was a graduate of New Holstein High School and later graduated from Holy Family School of Nursing in 1956. On September 7, 1957, she married Gregory Sukowaty at Holy Rosary in New Holstein. Lucille had worked for Dr. Mark Foley in St. Nazianz for 22 years prior to moving to Ripon where she was Day Supervisor at Parkview Care Center until her retirement on April 1, 2002. Mrs. Sukowaty was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Catholic Knights and Altar Society.
Survivors include her husband, Gregory Sukowaty; 1 son, James (Laura) Sukowaty of New Berlin; 2 daughters, Cathy Sukowaty of Valders and Jane (Jody) James of Ripon; grandchildren, Gregory, Stephen, Curran, Bevan, Killian and Andrew Sukowaty; Kyrsten James; Christopher, Jason and Megan Krogh; 2 brothers, Cyril (Janice) Schneider of Kaukauna and Cletus (Rita) Schneider of West Bend; 4 sisters, Imelda (Eldon) Watry of Elkart Lake, Priscilla (Donald) Schneider of Kiel, Mildred (Marvin) Thielman of Brothertown and Beatrice (James) Schafhauser of Appleton; mother-in-law, Salome Sally Sukowaty; and 3 brothers-in-law, LeRoy (Virginia) Sukowaty and Herman Sukowaty, all of Valders, and Joseph Sukowaty of Manitowoc. She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 sister, Helen Schneider; father-in-law, Ambrose Sukowaty; and sister-in-law, Vivian Muench.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, June 18, 2002, at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Ripon with Father John A. Schmitz officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4 until 7 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m., at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. Friends may also call on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Entombment will be at the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Fond du Lac. A Memorial has been established.
