Mrs. Lucinda G. Achterberg, 84, of Zoar Rd., Pickett, died Saturday, November 26, 1988, at Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh.
She was born December 16, 1903, in the Town of Poy Sippi to Henry and Anna Schonscheck Schmude. On January 27, 1922, she married Arthur Achterberg in Borth and he preceded her in death on June 1, 1983.
Mrs. Achterberg was educated in the Town of Poy Sippi. She had been a housewife and had lived in the Pickett area since 1930. She was a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church of Ripon.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Mrs. Lucille Stahmann of Rosendale and Mrs. Victor (Eunice) Haase of Oshkosh; 1 son, Lyle (Elaine) Achterberg of Berlin; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Mrs. Lewis (Lilah) Lehmann of Berlin, Mrs. Louise Belter of Pickett, Mrs. Anton (LaVerne) Olsen of Poy Sippi and Mrs. Erwin (Lola) Krueger of Omro. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Immanuel United Methodist Church, Ripon. The Reverend Robert LeCount will officiate. Intombment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh.
Friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon.
