Luella Fisher

August 14, 1901 — October 15, 1991

Luella Myrtle Fisher, age 90, of the Town of Green Lake, Green Lake Co., passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 1991, at her home.

She was born August 14, 1901, in Princeton, a daughter to Newton and Lulegene (Wicks) Philbrick. She was educated in Princeton and was a graduate of Green Lake Co. Normal School in Berlin. Following graduation she was a school teacher at Center House. On April 4, she married Hazen James Fisher in the Green Lake Methodist Church parsonage. She was widowed October 8, 1987.

Mrs. Fisher was a member of the Green Lake Co. Homemakers, member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon and the 20th Century Club of Green Lake. She was past 4-H Club Leader for over 10 years and was co-chairman of the Civil Defense of Green Lake Co.

She is survived by her son, James of Ripon; three daughters, Mrs. Gwendolyn Fahl of Ripon, Mrs. Annagene Priske of Green Lake and Mrs. Betty Lou Bradley of Oshkosh; two brothers, Lynn Philbrick of Princeton and Claire Philbrick of Markesan; two sisters, Lila Koats of Neshkoro and Beulah Swersinske of Berlin; seven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother and one sister.

There will be no visitation. Graveside services for Mrs. Fisher will be held on Friday, October 18, 1991, at 11:00 a.m. at Green Lake Center Cemetery with the Reverend Robert B. LeCount officiating. Memorials in her name may be directed to Green Lake Center Cemetery or Immanuel United Methodist Church.
