Lutgarde Lu J Reinsch, Ripon, WI, died early March 26th at Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh.
Born Lutgarde Luehrs in West Milwaukee on 3/22/1913 to William and Christine (Annen) Luehrs.
Grew up in West Allis, WI and attended St. Florian Grade School and graduated in 1932 from St. Johns Cathedral High School.
She was married on Easter Monday April 22, 1935 to Carroll P. Sonny Reinsch at St. Florian Church, West Allis.
They spent their entire married life in Ripon. They owned the City Lunch Room until establishing the Fox River Glove Company in 1937.
She is survived by two sons, Michael (Mary), Ripon; John (Christi), Ripon; one daughter Patty (Stephen) Gruetzmacher, Oshkosh; Nine grandchildren Lisa Lee and Craig Reinsch, Joseph and Stephanie Gruetzmacher and Ingrid, Greta, Millicent, John, Jr. and Elsa; Two brothers William (Cele) Luehrs, Milwaukee, and Robert (Lois) Luehrs of Stamford Ct.; Three sisters-in-law, Roberta Luehrs, Hollywood, Fl, Joanne Luehrs, West Allis, and Beverly (Reinsch) Sather, Waupaca; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her best friend and husband of 52 years (died 10/23/1987), her parents, parents-in-law (Emil and Marie Reinsch), three brothers Fritz, Hub, and Leroy, two sisters, Mary and Catherine.
Lu loved to play bridge. She loved chocolate. She had many friends and enjoyed a full life.
She was a member of St. Wencelaus Church and a past member of their Rosary Society. She was a past member of the Ripon Womens Club, the Ripon Professional Womens Club, and a past bowler.
