Lydia E. Belau, age 79, of Ripon, WI, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 1956, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
Lydia was born September 14, 1877, in Horicon, WI, the daughter of August and Margaret (Koehler) Belau. She attended the Ripon Public Schools. Lydia worked at Ripon Knitting Works for about 40 years.
Survivors include five nieces, Mrs. Frank Huges of Waldo, WI, Mrs. Frank Boese of Berlin; Mrs. Howard Rautenberg of Beaver Dam; Mrs. Alfred Buchholz of Ripon and Mrs. Ben Bishop of Ripon; four nephews, Elmer Heft of Green Lake, Floyd Diedrich of Ripon, Orville Heft of Detroit, MI and Wilbur Nehls of Ripon. She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call on Monday, November 19, 1956, after 12:00 noon at Butzin Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Lydia will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 1956, at 1:30 pm at Butzin Funeral Home with The Reverend Douglas O. Anderson officiating. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ripon.
