Lydia Benike

Mrs. Lydia L. “Pink” Benike, 93, died Friday, October 13, 1989, at Parkview Care Center.

She was born October 14, 1895, in the Town of Rosendale, to Henry and Minnie Zinzow Harms. On June 7, 1921, she married Alvin Benike.

Mrs. Benike was educated in Ripon and was a housewife. She had lived in Madison for 49 years and in Ripon since 1969. She was a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church, Ripon.

Survivors include 2 grandsons, Christopher Benike of Dearborn Heights, Michigan and Graham Benike of Scottsdale, Arizona; 1 sister, Mrs. Raymond (Minnie) Hins of Ripon and 1 nephew, Raymond Harms of Ripon. Her husband preceded her in death on February 27, 1970, and 1 son, James.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m., at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. The Reverend Robert B. LeCount will officiate. Interment will follow in Garden of the Cross Cemetery, Ripon.

Friends may call Monday from 1 until the hour of services at the funeral home.
