Lydia Boers, age 88, of Ripon, WI, passed away on February 22, 1985, at Parkview Nursing Home in Ripon.
Lydia was born December 22, 1896, in Ripon, WI, the daughter of Henry and Minnie (Anklam) Radke. She worked as a housewife and started what is now Mick’s East Side Country Market in Ripon. Lydia married Fredrick Boers on October 3, 1919 until his death on January 25, 1967. She was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon, an honorary member of the church guild and member of the Reading Circle and a member of the Pilgrim Rebekah Lodge.
Survivors include one sister, Elda (Norm) Perrin of Ripon, WI and nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Lydia will be held on Monday, February 25, 1985, from 6 – 8:00 pm and a Rebekah Service at 8:00 pm at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
Funeral Service for Lydia will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 1985, at 11:00 am at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ with Reverend Harley C.W. Tretow officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Ripon.
