Lyndon Harry Pamenter, age 80, of Markesan, passed away from acute luekemia on Monday, December 28, 2009, at his home in Markesan, WI.
Lyndon was born on March 14, 1929, in Green Lake, the son of Harry and Elsie (Kelm) Pamenter. He graduated from Green Lake High School. In 1950, Lyndon married Ruth Zuberbuehler in Beaver Dam. His early years were spent as a Journeyman Tool and Die Maker and he retired as a Sergeant with the Fox Lake Correctional Institution. Lyndon was a founding member of Faith Lutheran Church and School in Markesan. He was known by everyone as someone they could count on to fix anything.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ruth; three sons, Harry (Lois) Pamenter of Markesan, WI, Dan Pamenter of Appleton, WI, and Scott (Tracy) Pamenter of Hortonville, WI; one daughter, Diane (Roy) Draheim of Markesan, WI; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Gwen (Robert) Bornick of Manchester, WI; and many special nieces and nephews. Lyndon is preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, N1529 State Road 73, Markesan, WI 53946, with Pastor Paul Krause officiating.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
