Mabel Dornbrook

Mabel G. Dornbrook, age 90, of 615 W. Fond du Lac St. Ripon and Omro Care Center, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh.

Mabel was born on November 8, 1914 in Ripon, the daughter of Louis H. and Dora (Duehring) Schultz. She went to Ripon High School and later worked for Ripon Pickle Co, Rippin’ Foods, Ripon Knitting Works and from 1969 to 1986 at Ripon College. She married Arthur Edwin Dornbrook on Sept. 6, 1936. Mabel was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon and a past member of the Homemakers of Fond du Lac County. She also loved to play the Piano.

Survivors include her children; Carole (Ron) Hielke of Ripon, Clifford Dornbrook of Ruskin, FL, Robert (Lois) Dornbrook of Shawnee, KS, and Michael Dornbrook of Omro, daughter-in-law Joyce Dornbrook of Milwaukee, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, one sister Mildred Cook of FL, and Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son Edward, one great-grandchild, her parents and two sisters.

Funeral services for Mabel Dornbrook will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at 11:00 am at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon with Pastor Alan F. Schaffmeyer officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday from 10:00 until the time of the service at the church. Interment will follow in Bethel Reeds Corners Cemetery, Town of Metomen. A memorial has been established.
