Mabel Hiley

Mabel M. Hiley, 82, of Randolph, WI, died Friday, January 15, 1999, at the Beaver Dam Care Center.

She was born June 24, 1916, in Beaver Dam, a daughter to Emil and Anna (Eggert) Ziegel. She started her education in Fox Lake and graduated from Beaver Dam High School. Mabel married Earl A. Hiley and for many years she helped him make cheese at the W. Rosendale Cheese Factory. She also worked at the Ripon Knitting Works, Green Giant in Rosendale and Ripon Pickle Co. Mabel had lived in W. Rosendale for 50 years prior to moving to Randolph.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Elaine Caylor of Indiana and Joan Johnson of Florida; 3 grandchildren, Beth Caylor, Susan Kacapyr and Robby Caylor; 1 brother, Albert (Marion) Ziegel of Beaver Dam, brother-in-law, Larry (Marcella) Hiley of Randolph and sisters-in-law, Hilda Kirchberg of Columbus and Helen Bensley of Burnett; 21 nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her husband in 1980, parents, 1 brother and 2 sisters.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 17, 1999, from 4 until 7 PM at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon. Funeral services will be Monday, January 18, 1999, at 1:30 PM at the funeral home. The Reverend James D. Mohr will officiate, and interment will be in the Rosendale Cemetery.
