Mabel Lawrence, age 96, formerly of Ripon, died Tuesday, April 9, 1996, at Omro Care Center where she has resided since 1990.
She was born December 16, 1899, in Ripon, a daughter to August and Augusta (Springborn) Lawrence. She was educated in the Ripon Schools, graduated from Ripon College and was a Latin teacher. Mabel was an avid library patron, and a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ.
Survivors are 1 cousin, Irene S. Thorndike and Ruth Pommering of Ripon. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, Alfred.
Funeral services will be tonight, April 10, 1996, at 7 P.M. at the Butzin—Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon with the Rev. Eric Burnard officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Ripon. Visitation will be this evening from 5:30 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
