Mabel Moderow, 95, of Green Lake Manor in Green Lake, passed away Tuesday evening, April 5, 2005, at the manor.
Mabel was born on December 27, 1909, in Utley, Township of Green Lake, daughter of Emil and Minna (Henslin) Jahns. Mabel attended Utley School and was confirmed at St Johns Lutheran Church in Markesan. She graduated from Markesan High School and attended Oshkosh Business College.
On September 5, 1931, she married Herbert Moderow, and they farmed most of their lives outside of Ripon. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a faithful member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ in Ripon, and a former member of the Womens Guild.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Vicki Floros and her husband John and their children, Kent, Kyle & Casey; grandson, Joe Putzer and his wife Linda and their children, Amanda, Ashley, Matthew & Kayla; former daughter-in-law, Lil Putzer and her husband Tom, all of Ripon; nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Herbert, son Ronald Moderow, daughter Janice Moderow, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Our Saviours United Church of Christ with Rev. Mark R. West officiating. Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 9-11 a.m. Interment will be in Loper Cemetery, Town of Ripon. A memorial has been established.
