Mabel A. (Born) Roeder, age 84, died unexpectedly Thursday afternoon, December 7, 2000, at Ripon Medical Center.
She was born April 28, 1916, in Fairwater, a daughter to Hugo and Mary (Scoviak) Born. She attended school in Fairwater and graduated from Ripon High School. On October 11, 1958, she married Robert Roeder. Mabel was a housewife, and in her early years, she had been a beautician.
She was a member of Our Saviours United Church of Christ, Ripon, and was past charter member of the Ripon Lioness.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; 3 sons, Dennis (Sally) Morris of Ripon, Phillip Morris of Sebring, FL, and Theodore Morris of Sarasota, FL; 1 brother, Milton (Janice) Born of Fairwater; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 daughter, Constance; 1 son, Michael; 4 brothers, Ralph, Lawrence, Roy, and Gordon; and 2 sisters, Dorothy and Marie.
Funeral service for Mabel A. Roeder will be Monday, December 11, 2000, at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Our Saviours United Church of Christ. The Reverend Rebecca H. Johnston will officiate. Friends may call Sunday, December 10, 2000, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Butzin-Marchant
Funeral Home, Ripon, and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the Chapel. Interment will be in the Fairwater Cemetery, Fairwater. Memorials to Our Saviours UCC.
