Mabel Tursky, 88, of Ripon, died September 17, 1994, at Ripon Medical Center.
She was born November 25, 1905, in the Town of Nepeuskun, the daughter of William and Mary Heiman Beier. She was educated in the Town of Ripon. On November 24, 1927, she married Raymond Tursky. Mabel was clerk and bookkeeper for the Tursky Cycle Shop in Madison and after her husband’s death in 1968, she moved back to Ripon. Mabel was a member of Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon, the Womens Guild, Alter Guild and Christian Service Group of the church. She also belonged to the Ripon Garden Club, Rebekahs, and the Ripon Historical Society.
She is survived by one sister, Florence Chaffin of Ripon; nieces and nephews; She was preceded in death by her husband, one infant son, Donald, one brother and one sister.
Funeral Service for Mabel Tursky will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ. Reverend James D. Mohr will officiate. Interment will be at Estabrooks Cemetery, Town of Fond du Lac.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 am until the time of the service at the church.
A memorial has been established in her name for Our Saviour’s Church.
