Mabel Ziesmer

Mabel Irene Ziesmer, age 90, of Ripon, died Monday night, November 20, 1989, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon.
She was born April 27, 1899, in the Town of Eldorado to Elmer and Louise Hornung Granger of rural Fond du Lac. She married Fredrick Ziesmer on June 21, 1918.
Mrs. Ziesmer was a member of one of the first classes to graduate from the high school now known as Ripon Central Elementary School. She attended Stevens Point Normal School and taught at the Arcade School near Ripon. She lived her lifetime in the Ripon area and was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Survivors include one daughter, Eloise (Bernard) Weckwerth and one son, Edward (Joyce) Ziesmer, both of Ripon; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death where her husband on November 10, 1963, along with her daughter, Catherine (Dr. Arden) Weckwerth, one grandson and one great-grandson.
Services for Mrs. Ziesmer will be held Friday at 1 pm at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon with the Reverend Dean Peterson officiating. Interment will be in the Green Lake Center Cemetery in the Town of Green Lake.
Friends may call from noon until the hour of services at the church. A memorial has been established.
