Mable Brooks, age 85, of Green Lake, WI passed away on Saturday, June 20 1953 at Berlin Memorial Hospital in Berlin, WI.
Mable was born in Green Lake on May 21, 1868, the daughter of Ira and Emma Smith. She was educated in Green Lake and lived there all her life. On February 7, 1891 she married Wells D. Brooks. She was a charter member of the 20th Century Club of Green Lake, former Vice President of The State Federation of Women's Club and former President of the District Federation of Women's Club.
Mable is survived by her daughter, Mrs. George Baldwin of Green Lake, WI; a son, Horace also of Green Lake, WI; two granddaughters, Mrs. Roberta Morell of Barrington, IL and Mrs Barbara Jacoby of Detroit, MI; and a grandson, Wells Brooks of Green Lake. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wells D. Brooks who passed away in January, 1940.
Visitation for Mable will be held from 4:00 pm on Monday, June 22, 1953 until 2:30 pm on Tuesday, June 23, 1953 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon, WI.
Graveside service for Mable will be held at 2:30 pm on Tuesday, June 23, 1953 at Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake, WI, with Mr. Sherwood Kutchins officiating.
