Mae Kastenschmidt, age 71, of Rosendale, WI, passed away on Friday, January 24, 1992, at her home.
She was born August 26, 1920, in Bangor, WI, the daughter of George and Alma Marie (Mengelt) Hoyer. She was educated in Bangor. On November 4, 1939, she married Robert Kastenschmidt. Along with being a Housewife, she established and operated the restaurant in Rosendale for 17 years. She had resided in Rosendale for about 45 years, as well as living in Wyoming for 7 years. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church of Rosendale.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; three sons, Marlin (Sandra) of Eden, Leonard of Buckley, MI, and Gordon (Denise) of Rock Springs, WY; five daughters, Marleece (Dennis) Frericks of Hamilton, CO, LaCinda (J.D.) Stanfield of Hugo, OK, Carlene (David) Brown of Cape Girardeau, MO, Jolene (Robert) Fuchs of Fond du Lac, and Leatrice (David) Hein of Casper, WY; 26 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Calverna Vogel of Rockland, and Adell Johnson of West Salem; and one brother, Herbert Hoyer of Melrose. Her parents preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 27, at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services at the church.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Kastenschmidt will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale with the Reverend Bruce Buslaff officiating. Interment will be in the Rosendale Cemetery, Rosendale. A memorial has been established in her name for Peace Lutheran Church, Rosendale and Hospice Hope of Fond du Lac.
