Mae Stelia Klites, age 94, of Ripon, died Thursday, July 18, 1996, at Parkview Care Center in Ripon where she has resided the past 10 years.
She was born November 9, 1901, in Harvey, IL, the daughter of Sigurd and Mary (Rippie) Thoresen. Mae was a graduate of Beloit High School. On April 3, 1920, she married Frank Klites in Rockford, IL. For many years they made their home in St Paul, MN, until they retired to FL. They have lived in Ripon for the past 12 years. Mae was a homemaker, and in earlier years, she and her husband owned St. Paul Drug and Surgical Supply Co., St. Paul, MN, where she was the office manager. She was a member of the Hamline Chapter #228 Order of Eastern Star of St. Paul, MN. Mrs. Klites was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ripon, and was a former Red Cross volunteer.
She is survived by her husband, Frank of Ripon; 1 daughter, Mary Alice (Robert) Wilkinson of Ripon; 5 grandchildren, Judith (William) Neill of Ripon, Debra (Tom)Konecny of Omaha, NB, Alan & Tom Korpady of Madison, and Peter Korpady of Reston, VA; 1 nephew, Carl Nelson of Rockford, IL, and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister, 1 brother, 1 daughter, Betty Jeanne Korpady and 1 granddaughter.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 23, 1996 at 12:00 noon at Immanuel United Methodist Church, Ripon. The Reverends Ray Steger and David Busker will officiate, and interment will follow in Garden of the Cross Cemetery, Ripon. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 A .M. until the hour of the service at the church.
The family suggests that rnenor ia is be given to Irrinanuel Church in her name.
