Marcia Janet (Hanley) Keipe, age 94, of Green Lake, died Monday evening, July 20, 1998 ,at her home.
She was born July 12, 1904, in the Town of Marion, Waushara County, the daughter of Edward and Emma (Beebe) Hanley. She received her schooling in Wautoma and then attended Waushara County Normal College. She taught rural school for 2 years, and then became a housewife when she married Alfred F. Keipe in 1929. Mrs. Keipe has made her home in Green Lake the past 60 years.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Ashtoreth Keipe of Green Lake, Patricia
Ebert of Oshkosh, and Marie (Michael) Gates of Princeton; 5 granddaughters,
Kathleen Ebert of Frankfurt, Germany, Maureen Ebert of Oshkosh, Debra
(Steve) Benfiel of Alaska, Michelle Gates of Princeton and Danielle Gates of
Princeton; a brother, Dan (Adeline) Hanley of Wautoma; and a sister, Adelta
Thompson of Wautoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred F.
Keipe, parents, and 3 brothers, Lloyd, James and Robert Hanley.
There will be no visitation. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday, July 23, 1998, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Ripon with the Reverend William L. Toelle officiating. Interment will be in Dartford Cemetery, Green Lake.
